just a note...
Is there anything in Latin America we should be paying attention to? We have Daniel Ortega - a blast from the Reaganite past - in all likelihood coming back to power in Venezuela. Then we have Chavez, who may in fact be backing Ortega's campaigning. Is this going to be a problem? Do we have a growing crisis in Latin America, or is this just business as usual? Does the existence of a more leftist, anti-American Latin America have any significant implications for US national security? It has barely been mentioned in the congressional campaigning of the past months. Is it safe to completely overlook what's going on immeadiately to our south?
